Question: It is our understanding that the
Mechanical Engineering Group at Cherry Point has decided to only use 0.0
ozone depleting refrigerants as of 2009. The existing units are R22,
which does not meet that requirement. Should we replace the R22 units
with 410A (0.00 ozone depleting characteristic) refrigerant units? FYI, as of Jan 1st 2010, no manufacturer will be allowed to manufacture an R22 machine. Answer: The contractor is required to use equipment with Refrigerant 410-a. |
